This is my way for everyone to keep in touch with me on my deployment to Iraq. In no way shape or form do I speak on behalf of the Army National Guard, my unit, my chain of command, or any other government entity.
This weblog is going to be used on my deployment when I can post. Hopefully I can keep people updated on what is going on with me, so people don't have to worry while I'm gone. Keep checking here for updates. I'll do what I can.

I am a soldier in the Minnesota Army National Guard. I was wounded in Iraq in December 2006 by an Iranian made IED. As a result I lost my right arm below the elbow, and sustained severe nerve damage and the amputation of my ring finger on my left hand. Now I'm stuck at Walter Reed Army Medical Center until the army figures out what to do with me.

I can feel the interest in your first post. Since it is your first, the impression should be great. Just be patient and wait for the commentators to pass by.
